Blogs on Metaverses
The 3D web is on its way to enter many people’s communication habits and even a lot of people’s lives. If it’s Linden Lab’s well known Second Life, Makena Technologies There, Sony’s Playstation Home, or one of the smaller 3D-worlds: Metaverses are on their way to become an integral part of the way we’re communicating. They could become the next logical step in the internet’s and media’s evolution in general.
The following blogs are my prefered picks for your feedreader if you’d like to keep on track and achieve a better understanding regarding metaverses, 3D collaboration, Second Life, and virtual identities:

_notizen aus der provinz
Markus Breuer switched his German blog from blogging about blogs to blogging about metaverses - Second Life in particular - in 2005: Markus officially formed The Otherland Group [corporate blog in English] some days ago “to make sense of business in virtual worlds”. One of his partners blogs about metaverses as well:
pixelsebi’s repository
Sebastian Küpers writes [German] about the metaverse, semantic, and social web as superior topics. Read his post about the founding of The Otherland Group.
Books
If you prefer a book to enter the idea of a metaverse, I highly recommend one of these two to get a deeper comprehension:
