Blogs on Public Relations

There’s no blogroll at Beyond Noise yet and I’m not sure if there’ll be one in future. But you’ll find a blogroll-category now where I’ll post links to blogs I read daily since ages and like to recommend. I’m starting with blogs on public relations today because they are very useful for understanding how the blogosphere works, what’s news in Web 2.0 and beyond. Be sure to find a lot of links to related weblogs and make your own decision.

Micro Persuasion

If you’re interested in online communications and don’t know Steve Rubel yet I’m sure you’ve never read a communications related weblog before nor do you know what “a Google” is. If I’m right, hurry and visit micropersuasion.com right now. If I’m wrong, you’ve added his webfeed to your reader a long time before reading these lines. “Steve Rubel explores how social software is transforming marketing, media and public relations.” Yes. That’s it. And by providing relevant links daily no one is missing what happens in today’s communications … while the press doesn’t know what the blogosphere covers.

Corporate Engagement

Trevor Cook’s weblog offers his view on public relations and media development from down under. He and his co-authors Keith Jackson, Ben Haslem and Jakob Webster provide us with “Daily comments on PR, media and related stuff” and a lot of exciting opinions and information in between. BTW: Did you know that 694 Million People Currently Use the Internet Worldwide?

Strategic Public Relations

Kevin Dugan’s blog is focused on public relations strategy within integrated marketing communications. And of course: there’s no way along weblogs, Web 2.0 and word of mouth [WOM] marketing.

CorporatePR

Elizabeth Albrycht’s commentary on the theory and practice of organizational communications is another must-read: As a veteran of high technology public relations she offers her personal view on modern communications. And she’s absolutely right that video blogs rock but suck a lot of time.

PR Blogger

Klaus Eck and multiple co-authors discover the World of Corporate Communications in German and offer their view on public relations, weblogs and the blogosphere in Germany.
